The treehouse is on the edge of host Quentin’s property on a lake in Monterey, MA. His cabin is no more than 50-75 feet away so it isn’t a private stay but it’s still secluded in its own way- the treehouse is enveloped in wisteria and so you feel like you’re in your own little world in there and it is incredibly peaceful.

Selene, the host, built the cabin in her backyard along with an outhouse and a sauna. Inside the Hyggelig Hytte there is a bed, kitchenette, and small table and chairs. There is no running water but there is electricity, and the outhouse is right behind the cabin.

This cabin holds two people and comes with a comfy bed, linens, pillows, and extra blankets. You get a 360 degree view of the woods as the roof is made of a clear material and the walls are screened. So you get the beauty of the outdoors without the bugs :) There is also a hammock, outdoors kitchenette, table and chairs, bench (with a view), fire pit, and one of the most glamorous compostable toilet/latrines in New England.
